How to type
Write each word the way it sounds and press space. “aap kaise ho” becomes “आप कैसे हो”. Common words like मैं, नहीं, क्यों and हूँ are recognised even when typed the casual way (“main”, “nahi”, “kyon”, “hoon”).
After each word, other spellings appear in a row under the box. Tap one to swap it in, or tap the English version to keep the word in English. Press Ctrl + G on a computer, or tap English, to type English words without converting them.

A word ending in “a” gets the long ा (“mera” → मेरा), and one ending in “i” gets ी (“paani” → पानी), because that is how most people type Hindi in messages. If you meant the short sound, pick it from the suggestions.

Where you can use it

Yes. Turn on Hindi numbers in More options to get १२३ instead of 123.
Is what I type saved?
