How to merge PDFs
- Drop all your PDFs into the box. You can drop them together or one at a time.
- Check the list. The number on the left is the order they will appear in.
- Use the up and down arrows to move a file. Press ✕ to take one out.
- Press Merge PDFs and download

When merging helps
Many application portals give you one upload slot labelled something like “supporting documents”. Your marksheets, ID proof and certificates are separate scans. If you upload only one, the rest is missing. Merge them into a single PDF in the order the form lists them, and the person checking your application finds everything in one place.
Other everyday uses:
- Sending a month’s invoices or receipts to an accountant as one file.
- Combining chapters or class notes so you can read them in one go.
- Joining the front and back of an ID card that were scanned as two files.
- Putting a cover letter in front of a resume.
Getting the order right
Officers and recruiters skim. Put the most important document first. For applications, a sensible order is: identity proof, then educational certificates from oldest to newest, then category or income certificates, then anything else. If the form gives its own list, follow that exactly.
Need to change the order of pages inside a file, or rotate one sideways scan? Merge first, then open the result in Rotate & Organize PDF, which shows every page as a small preview.
Keeping the merged file small
Merging does not shrink anything. The result is roughly the sizes of your files added together, so five 300KB scans make a file of around 1.5MB. If the portal has a limit, run the merged file through Compress PDF and type that exact limit.
Merging photos and PDFs together
This tool joins PDF files. If some of your documents are photos, turn them into a PDF first with JPG to PDF, then add that PDF here with the others.
If something goes wrong
- “Password-protected”: one of the files is locked. Open it with its password, save a copy, and use that copy.
- It is slow on my phone: very large files use a lot of memory. Merge in two batches, then merge the two results.
- A page looks different: forms you filled in may show their typed answers differently in some viewers. Print the filled form to PDF first, then merge.
Questions people ask
How many PDFs can I merge?
There is no fixed limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so on an older phone try merging in two batches.
Will the quality change?
No. Pages are copied as they are. Nothing is compressed during a merge.
Can I merge images with PDFs?
Convert the images first with JPG to PDF, then merge the result with your other PDFs.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
Do bookmarks and links survive?
Links on pages are kept. Bookmarks from the original files are not carried over.
