More options make smaller while converting

Wider images are scaled down, keeping their shape. Good for websites and email.

Hidden photo data such as GPS location and camera details is always removed from converted files, so they are safe to share.

Runs in your browser. Your images are never uploaded.

    • Shrink very large photos while converting
    • Removes hidden location (GPS) data from photos
Quick answerAdd one or many images, choose the format you need, such as JPG, and press Convert. FileFitly opens HEIC, WebP, AVIF, PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO and SVG, and saves JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF or ICO.

    How to convert images

    1. Drop one image or a whole batch in the box.
    2. Choose the format to save as. A short note under the buttons explains what that format is good at.
    3. For JPG, WebP and AVIF you can pick the quality. For ICO, tick the icon sizes you want.
    4. Press Convert. One file downloads directly; several arrive together in a ZIP.

    iPhone HEIC photos

iPhones save photos as HEIC to save space. They look fine on the phone, but Windows, many websites and most government portals cannot open them. Convert them to JPG here and they work everywhere. To make new photos JPG from the start, open Settings → Camera → Formats on the iPhone and choose Most Compatible.

WebP and AVIF images from websites

Images saved from websites are often WebP or AVIF, because those load faster. Some editors and older apps refuse them. Convert to PNG to keep every detail, or to JPG for a smaller file.

    Making a favicon

Choose ICO and keep 16, 32 and 48 pixels ticked. That covers browser tabs, bookmarks and Windows shortcuts. Start from a square logo with some space around it; tiny icons lose fine detail, so simple shapes work best. Add 256 if the icon will also be used as a Windows app icon.

    Does converting lose quality?

    • To PNG, TIFF or BMP: no further loss. These keep every pixel.
    • To JPG, WebP or AVIF: a small, usually invisible loss at Best or High.
    • To GIF: limited to 256 colours, so photos can look grainy. Use it only when something specifically asks for GIF.

Converting cannot add detail that is not there. A blurry JPG saved as PNG is still blurry, just bigger. Need a specific file size instead of a format? Use Compress Image.

    Converting many images at once

Add as many images as you like. Each is converted in turn and they are packed into a single ZIP. If a file cannot be opened, it is skipped and the result tells you which one.

    Questions people ask

Can I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows?

Yes. Drop the HEIC files here in any modern browser and choose JPG. No app install is needed.

Why does my transparent PNG get a white background?

JPG and BMP cannot store transparency. Choose PNG, WebP or ICO to keep it.

    Can I convert animated GIFs?

Only the first frame is used. Animation is not kept.

Why is AVIF missing from the list?

Your browser cannot create AVIF files. It appears automatically in browsers that support it.

    Are my photos uploaded?

No. Conversion happens in your browser.
