- Download. One page saves as one image; more pages save as a ZIP.
Which quality should I pick?
| Setting | A4 page becomes about | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Screen (72 DPI) | 595 × 842 px | WhatsApp, quick previews, smallest files |
| Normal (150 DPI) | 1240 × 1754 px | Most uploads, reading on a phone |
| Print (300 DPI) | 2480 × 3508 px | Printing, zooming into small text |
DPI means dots per inch. Higher DPI gives more pixels, so text stays sharp when you zoom in, and the file gets bigger.
JPG or PNG?
JPG makes smaller files and suits scanned pages, photos and anything with colour gradients. PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so typed text and thin lines stay crisp, but the file can be three to five times bigger. If you are not sure, pick JPG.
When you need a PDF as an image
- WhatsApp status or Instagram: they take images, not PDFs.
- Forms that only accept JPG: some portals want a certificate as an image. Convert the page here, then fit it to the size limit with Compress Image.
- Slides or posters: put one page of a document into a presentation.
- Copying text from a scanned PDF: convert the page here, then read it with Image to Text.
Tips
- For a single page, typing its number is much faster than converting a 40-page document.
- If text looks soft, choose Print quality. If the file is too large, choose Screen.
- Coloured backgrounds and photos convert well to JPG. Diagrams and spreadsheets look cleaner as PNG.
